Justine Gallien started her photography journey 5 years ago and has since became an award winning photographer. This is because, along the way, she joined some amazing organizations. They include The Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Professional Photographers of Louisiana (PPLA), Southwest Professional Photographers Association (SWPPA), and Lafayette Photographic Society (LPS).
In the beginning, she spent a lot of time researching online and teaching herself the basics of photography. Since joining the organizations like The Professional Photographers of Louisiana, she has aligned herself with an amazing network of awesome photographers who have taught her a lot of valuable information that enables her work to steadily grow and get better.
She actively serves on four committees in the Professional Photographers of LA including (Hospitality, Party, Events & Decorations), (Membership & Retention), (Photographic Exhibition & Competition), and (Pipe and Drape).
Being a member of (PPLA) also allows Justine to enter competitions in which a panel of Master Photographers from all over the nation judge her work. In 2014, Justine’s Print entitled, “What Are You Looking At?” was awarded the 2014 People’s Choice (Mr. & Mrs. Henry B. Elsas) Award. 5 of her images that were entered were chosen to be accepted for the honor exhibition at The 65th Annual Convention ~ Southern Pro Xposure! Three of Justine’s images were also high enough to receive the Court of Honor, which is a merit by the Professional Photographers of Louisiana!
Justine is 32 years old and is the mother of 5 amazing, beautiful children who mean the world to her. They are who inspire her to keep pushing harder and aiming for greatness so that she can show them that they can do whatever they put their minds to.
